I came across this verse during my devotions yesterday and was a great reminder to where I am in life right now. Waiting and trusting. It's like I lose sight of how big God is and how he has my best interest at heart. He's God! Yet, in my small mind I think that my problems are too big for God or that he's too slow. I give him all the easy stuff, but the stuff that matters, what keeps me up at night worrying, I hold back for myself. And, once I take things in my own hands, it falls apart anyway.
For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11
There it is. Right there. That will be my theme and challenge this year, waiting on and trusting God. Reminding myself hourly that he is God, that I need to give him complete control and then actually following through.
